Four Layer Chocolate Cake
This might be my favourite cake to date. Watch the YouTube tutorial HERE!

First, let me say that I have NEVER made black icing before. Second, this cake was for a very special 9 year old, who happened to help me out on my last video for Double Chocolate Candy Cookies. I made the Among Us characters out of model and bake clay, but next time I'll try my hand at modelling chocolate.

You can ice this cake any which way you want, click here to het the BUTTERCREAM recipe. You could probably get away with a half recipe, but I always like to make a full batch and freeze the leftovers.

INGREDIENTS:

2cups all purpose flour

2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup cocoa powder

2 tsp. baking powder

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1 cup milk

1/2 cup vegetable oil

2 lg. eggs

1 tsp. vanilla 1 cup boiling water

HOW TO:

1.) Pre-heat oven to 325 degrees F

2.) Prepare your four 6" pans by spraying them with coking spray and cutting out a 6" circle of parchment paper for the bottom of the pan

3.) Combine all the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt) in the bowl of your stand mixer with the paddle attachment

*SIFT the cocoa if it is lumpy!

4.) Add the milk, oil, egg and vanilla to the dry ingredients and mix on medium until well combined

5.) Add the boiling water while the mixer is on LOW SPEED, then beat on high for 1 full minute

6.) Place cupcake liners in your muffin tins. * It should be a 12 muffin tin

7.) Pour the batter into the cupcake tin evenly distributing the batter into 12

8.) Bake for around 30-35 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean
